Due to the advanced structure of Windows 10, the computer boots up significantly faster. But it doesn\u2019t mean that Windows 10 doesn\u2019t provide the safe mode option anymore. It\u2019s just that the procedure has been changed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">In this tutorial, we will show different ways to get into safe mode on Windows 10 so that you can turn up your PC in safe mode again when required. Basically, safe mode is needed when you want to turn on your computer with minimum user interface and features. Only the required drivers and specifications will be loaded so that you can <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/unlock-windows-10-8-7-if-locked-out.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perform advanced tasks<\/a> at this state. We will be using the system configuration app and if you have no idea about it then don\u2019t worry, simply use the following steps to accomplish this task:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 1<\/strong>. Press Windows + R to open then Run command app.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 2<\/strong>. Type \u201cmsconfig\u201d and hit the enter button.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 3<\/strong>. The system configuration tool will be launched. Switch to the \u201cBoot\u201d tab.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-426 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/image003.jpg\" alt=\"Windows System Configuration\" width=\"495\" height=\"313\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/image003.jpg 495w, https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/image003-300x190.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 4<\/strong>. Under the boot options menu, check \u201cSafe boot\u201d option and choose \u201cMinimal\u201d and click on \u201cOK\u201d to save the options.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 5<\/strong>. A pop-up option will show which prompt you to ask if you want to \u201cRestart\u201d or \u201cExit without restart\u201d. Simply click on \u201cRestart\u201d to apply the effects immediately and turn on your PC in safe mode. And if you want to work on your PC a little longer then choose \u201cExit without restart\u201d and when you restart the PC next time, it will boot in safe mode.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-427\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/image004-2.png\" alt=\"System Configuration\" width=\"500\" height=\"192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/image004-2.png 648w, https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/image004-2-300x115.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Once the computer is restarted, you will notice it will be loaded in safe mode and keep in mind that most applications won\u2019t work in safe mode. So simply, get your things done and reboot it again to start the computer normally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Method 2: With Key Combinations<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">This is yet another way to turn on computer in safe mode. In this trick, we will be using a sneaky way to activate the safe mode in Windows 10. Let\u2019s see how it\u2019s done.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 1<\/strong>. Tap Shift + Restart button on your keyboard or you can click on start followed by Power button.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 2<\/strong>. Make sure to keep pressing the Shift key then click on \u201cRestart\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 3<\/strong>. By this way, the logon screen will appear and you can click on the Power button from the bottom right corner and select \u201cRestart\u201d again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 4<\/strong>. You will see, Windows 10 will ask you to choose an option. Select \u201cTroubleshoot\u201d button.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 5<\/strong>. Windows 10 will now show many startup settings options include \u201cEnable Safe Mode\u201d. So, you can press the numeric button, in this case 4, 5 and 6 to boot your computer in safe mode with specific features.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-434\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/image011.png\" alt=\"Windows 10 Startup Settings\" width=\"500\" height=\"488\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/image011.png 648w, https:\/\/www.tunesbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/image011-300x293.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">That\u2019s all, you may now reboot your computer and it should enable the safe mode option.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Method 3: Press F8 Key on Startup<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">This is the simplest way to enable safe mode in Windows 10 PC but it only works with Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Toshiba, Samsung and Sony brands of computers or laptops.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 1<\/strong>. Turn off your system and rest it for 1 minute.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 2<\/strong>. Turn it on and on the boot screen, keep pressing the F8 button.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 3<\/strong>. You will be able to see a DOS window with loads of options including Enable safe mode.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><strong>Step 4<\/strong>. Use the arrows on the keyboard to navigate through the options and select Enable safe mode to boot your PC in safe mode.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">All done!
